An experienced camera operator and full member of the ACO, my career began with the BBC in Manchester. I joined as a trainee and had access to an extensive training programme before working as a qualified operator as across a variety of genres.
I began working as a freelance operator in 1989 and have been involved in all aspects of television production including, dramas, light entertainment, national state events, award ceremonies, music concerts and sport.
In 1997 I launched my Steadicam career following a training course delivered by the Steadicam inventor Garrett Brown. I have invested in my own kit and my Steadicam credits include worldwide sports coverage, light entertainment, music concerts, pop videos, drama, fashion shows, corporate launches and BBC live events.
I have recently returned to working in HETV, drama and film.
Key skills:
· Strong photography background which developed into my passion for TV and film
